Basement Flood Protection in Etobicoke

As of May 1, 2026 the City's Basement Flooding Protection Subsidy Program covers up to 80% of eligible costs for qualifying homeowners. That includes up to $1,600 per backwater valve (maximum two), up to $2,250 toward a sump pump and alarm, $300 toward a battery backup, and a home plumbing assessment.
